On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Chelsea wears a blue printed dress. Unfortunately for her, these days she's pretty much channelling Kevin McCallister as she is spending more and more time Home Alone. With the way things are going for Chelsea, two "wet bandits" could amble in and kidnap her and Adam would hardly notice. She has managed to outwit her husband and his stowaway, much like Kevin outsmarted Marv and Harry, by figuring out that Sharon started the fire. Chelsea is even estranged from her family (of criminals) much like Marley is from his son and granddaughter in the film. While Kevin was thrilled to have the mansion to himself for the holidays (at least at first), Adam's wife seems to find all of the quality time with herself quite lonely. It looks like she may be foregoing the slapstick humor and going for a slap instead one day very soon.

On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Phyllis wears a draped silk blouse and gold chain drop earrings. If this was the hit Broadway show Wicked, there is no question she would be Elphaba. Phyllis, much like the musical's leading lady, isn't exactly "Dancing Through Life" these days; she isn't very "Popular" given her recent actions. Sure, Red makes "Defying Gravity" look like a cakewalk after escaping charges of attempted murder but only time will tell if she is ready to end things with Nick "For Good." In the meantime, there's no doubt she'll be green with envy seeing her soon to be ex-husband with her sister.

On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Sharon wears a powder blue sweater. After all the time she has been spending rearranging furniture, she should be a pro by now. Maybe with her new-found interior decorating skills, Sharon can head on over to Billy and Victoria's house and bring that 1950s decor into, you know, this century. That is, if she isn't thrown in jail for burning the Newman Ranch to the ground. On the bright side, even Martha Stewart had a knack for decorating small spaces.

On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Chelsea wears a cutout sweater. Now that Jack has joined Adam's Fan Club, you would think the only other two members would be celebrating. Nope. Turns out Sharon is currently crazy (about Adam?) and Chelsea is getting her just desserts for toying with Billy and Victoria's marriage back in the day. Perhaps Adam's wife can comfort herself with a little bit of Alicia Keys. You know, "What goes around comes around." After all, wasn't she the one recently "Sittin' home alone/waiting for [him] 'til three o'clock in the morn." And then, "[He'd] always have some sorry excuse/Half explaining to [her]/Like [she's] just some kind of fool." On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Jill wears a red jacket and a horseshoe necklace. Tell me you see that her triumphant return calls E.B. White's Charlotte's Web to mind? Katherine is Wilbur, about to be slaughtered by her business colleagues for returning to her CEO position at Chancellor Industries. Jill, on the other hand, is Charlotte, weaving her arguments into pleas and insults to get her friend to reconsider. It doesn't help that Lauren's dear sister is also pretty bloodthirsty, admitting she thinks she would be perfect for the job herself. As for Tucker, he's surely Templeton the rat as many do not know his true motives and he is and always has been self-serving. On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Sharon wears a brown cowl neck sweater. Since she is stowed away, doesn't V.C. Andrews' Flowers in the Attic come to mind? She's not exactly in an attic but she, much like the Dollanganger children, has to hide out after an unfortunate incident. Sharon was also lavished by expensive gifts and promised a bright future when she married Victor paralleling Corrine's deceptive behavior towards her children. True, Sharon hardly has to worry about incest and her "captor" Adam is only trying to help. However, Cathy and Chris' grandmother abuses them and one can argue Ms. Newman was emotionally abused by those closest to her. Even the words "arson" and "arsenic" sound remarkably similar. Interesting, right?

On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Lauren wears a tweed blazer. Is anyone else hoping she takes after Jane Austen's Emma and tries to play matchmaker? In the novel, Mr. Martin likes Harriet but Emma thinks her friend belongs with Mr. Elton. It then turns out Mr. Elton actually likes Emma. Although Lauren has her devoted husband Michael, her friends' love-lives are a mess much like in the story as Paul, although dating Nina, likes Christine who is lusting after Danny. The Fenmore's owner, like Emma, is an intelligent woman with a great deal of free time on her hands. Perhaps playing Cupid would help pass the time as long as when she's aiming that bow and arrow that she keeps in mind her plans may go awry at any moment.

On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Victoria wears a printed blazer. Did anyone catch the premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills last night? Lisa and Adrienne are feuding (not unlike Billy and Jack at the moment) and the Brit did not invite her former neighbor to her Villa Blanca party. Ms. Maloof then attempts to prove she is anything but aloof when she sends a hideous flower arrangement to the restaurant during the event. (It certainly did not help her case that it didn't have one pink flower let alone was the size of a small tree.) While Billy should take his cue from Adrienne and extend an olive branch to his brother, let's hope for the sake of Jack's hospital room that he goes with something a little more, uh, subtle. Something that says, "Sorry I betrayed you for my wife's sake" and not "I'm trying to apologize by sending you an entire forest."

It is no secret Nikki has loved both Jack and Victor, bitter business rivals while Mary was courted by Abe as well as Stephan Douglas, who eventually became political rivals. (Lincoln-Douglas debates, anyone?) Lastly, Lincoln's wife is said to have suffered from severe mood swings which just so happen to resemble Nikki's behavior as of late; she seems to go from sobbing uncontrollably over the ranch to happily announcing her engagement to cattily attacking Sharon all in a matter of minutes. Here's to hoping she'll paint the Newman Ranch white once the renovations get underway.

Of course, Chelsea is trying to decipher Adam's lies from truths and track his whereabouts while the engrossed reader is trying to figure out if the protagonist Nick killed his wife Amy. Perhaps it's time for Adam's new wife to scavenge for clues. She is sure to raise an eyebrow at what she finds just as the surprised reader can't turn the pages fast enough to see how the thrilling tale concludes.

On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Sharon wears a gray drape open back sweater. As she wanders around the cabin thinking she's losing her mind, one can't help but hope for a Cabin in the Woods twist of sorts. Although Sharon may feel alone and quite isolated, fingers crossed for the sake of her killer sweater that she is under some sort of observation. Too bad like most horror movie stereotypes, it looks like she will learn too late that it is never really safe to go to a cabin in the middle of the woods, now is it?

Many thanks to the show's wardrobe department for informing me that her sweater is by All Saints and that Sharon is actually wearing it backwards. How's that for a twist? Unfortunately, I haven't been able to track down the exact sweater but here is a similar one.

On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Phyllis wears a houndstooth jacket. Remember that time Miss Clavel had to rush little Madeline to the hospital in the middle of the night to get her appendix taken out? Phyllis, although no longer sharing the littlest orphan's hair color, may have to do the same with Jack if he doesn't get the surgery soon because it is clear that "something is not right." Who knows, maybe even his enemy Victor will visit him while he's recovery since Madeline's pesky neighbor Pepito even payed her a visit. Victor and Jack may never "break bread" together but hopefully they will reach a point where they can at least be civil.
