Special Request- July 27, 2012 Episode- Sharon Newman

On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Sharon wears a red dress. Why is it that every time she wears red, she gets into an altercation? Apparently, Sharon makes herself feel better after the confrontations by applying the five finger discount and swiping Chelsea's lipstick. You know what they say, you can put lipstick on a pig but at the end of the day, it's still...a shoplifter.

Hi Christine, Never in a million years would I intentionally call, compare or even so much as imply anything derogatory towards any actor or actress on the show. I was merely making light of the popular expression "if you put lipstick on a pig, at the end of the day it's still a pig" to convey that even with all the money and clothes, nothing can disguise the fact that the character is a shoplifter. What is more, the fact that she took a "lipstick" was why the phrase even came to mind in the first place. I sincerely apologize if you or any other reader took offense to this post and I will work on making my point more clear in the future. Best, Michelle
