On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Lauren wears a tweed blazer. Is anyone else hoping she takes after Jane Austen's Emma and tries to play matchmaker? In the novel, Mr. Martin likes Harriet but Emma thinks her friend belongs with Mr. Elton. It then turns out Mr. Elton actually likes Emma. Although Lauren has her devoted husband Michael, her friends' love-lives are a mess much like in the story as Paul, although dating Nina, likes Christine who is lusting after Danny. The Fenmore's owner, like Emma, is an intelligent woman with a great deal of free time on her hands. Perhaps playing Cupid would help pass the time as long as when she's aiming that bow and arrow that she keeps in mind her plans may go awry at any moment.
