Who would have thought it would all start with a requirement? The assignment was to choose a show in a television genre one was unfamiliar with and by chance, I happened to choose the number one soap on the air, The Young and the Restless. I tuned in during the Sharon and Ashley baby swapping storyline and needless to say, I was immediately hooked. It was no wonder this show had been on the air for over thirty years. And I am sure I am not the only one who is hoping it will stay around for thirty more!

Given my background and knowledge of fashion, I was instantly drawn to the clothes on the show. I found myself spending way too much time looking for a particular dress or a jacket. I came to the conclusion that if I was going to spend my time this way, I might as well share my finds with others who were likely looking for the same piece. Thus, The Young and the Stylish blog was born.

I want to thank The Young and the Restless wardrobe department because they do a phenomenal job. I also want to thank each and every person who reads the blog. Whether you have requested a particular item, shared an outfit you have found, or left a comment, you have all helped make the blog what it is today. To show my appreciation, I have decided to give away the one item that I have received the most requests for the entire year the blog has been in existence. A necklace so coveted, that it sold out at lightening speed on QVC last summer after Sharon wore it on the soap. A necklace so popular that it even made a recent appearance at Sharon's "funeral."
