On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Avery wears a drape dress. There is no doubt fashion and food make a lovely pair. In fact, fashionista.com has pointed out that the duo are having a bit of a love affair right now a la Nick and Avery. Jourdan Dunn has her own cooking show, Karlie Kloss has launched a line of cookies, a Cesar Casier has a cookbook that is flying off the shelves. And of course, one cannot forget the CFDA's cookbook full of designers' best recipes. Now Avery may be keeping her cooking for friends and family only (okay, mainly Nick) but Is it any wonder the color of her dress is listed as "grape?"
On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Avery wears an asymmetric wrap t-shirt. Does anyone else think she needs her own cooking show like yesterday? Avery seems to be a whiz in the kitchen and it has already been proven she excels in the courtroom. Wouldn't it be fantastic if she could talk legalese while showing viewers how to make mouthwatering muffins? Even her apartment is the perfect backdrop to host a cooking show. Perhaps The Next Food Network Star is in her future but in the meantime, Genoa City's very own Giada De Laurentiis (sans the creepy smile) is whipping up some magic. That is, when she's not busy making hungry eyes at Nick.
On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Nikki wears a black dress with an asymmetric neckline. Anyone think her resemblance to Mary Todd Lincoln is uncanny? Think about it, Nikki is Genoa City's "First Lady" given her status as President Victor's main squeeze and she was also married to Jack, a man who was shot. It is no secret Nikki has loved both Jack and Victor, bitter business rivals while Mary was courted by Abe as well as Stephan Douglas, who eventually became political rivals. (Lincoln-Douglas debates, anyone?) Lastly, Lincoln's wife is said to have suffered from severe mood swings which just so happen to resemble Nikki's behavior as of late; she seems to go from sobbing uncontrollably over the ranch to happily announcing her engagement to cattily attacking Sharon all in a matter of minutes. Here's to hoping she'll paint the Newman Ranch white once the renovations get underway.
on this episode of the young and the restless, sharon wears a beige double-breasted jacket. if she was a poet, she would likely be e.e. cummings as both have unconventional ways of going about life and aren't afraid to tackle controversial subject matters headfirst. cummings marched to the beat of his own drum choosing to forgo capitalization in his work. similarly, sharon has a knack for fighting common sense, choosing to bypass all logic. if anything, sharon can look to cummings for a bit of advice, "it takes courage to grow up and be who you really are." at least she has the wardrobe part down.
On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Sharon wears a blue backless halter top and geometric earrings. First, her ex-husband who she still loves "betrays" her by marrying some giddy former con artist. Then, her new husband disappears only hours after they get hitched. The father of her children contemplates having her institutionalized to regain control of his family's company and her only current ally is playing her like a fiddle. Lastly, she gets slandered on the Restless Style television show by her new step-daughter and consequently, in an interview that was supposed to go well. Sharon sure likes living on the wild side wearing an open back top when she's been back-stabbed by so many around her. And one can bet she doesn't bother sleeping with one eye open either now that she's fired Victor's entire security staff. Well, soon enough her enemies will learn her new penchant for stabbing each wrongdoer in the throat with the knives they left in her back. You know what they say, don't get mad, get even.
On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Phyllis wears a silk button down shirt. Interesting choice of wardrobe for her when she's reveling in her daughter-in-law's disappearance, a hot button issue. There is no denying Daisy knew how to push Phyllis' buttons but Mrs. Newman may want to button it or at the very least dial back the excitement over the murder. While poor little Lucy may be left without a mother, there is no denying she is as cute as a button.
On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Lily wears a beige crinkled dress with a bow. Given that she is attending Neil and Sofia's shotgun wedding, something tells me her face is not going to crinkle up in a smile as the unlikely duo exchange their vows. Too bad Lily can't wrap up some chemistry and give it to them with a pretty little bow. (They both deserve better!) Now there's a present the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Winters would surely appreciate, right? Oh, wait, that's actually something the viewers would be grateful for. That, and the scoop on where to get Lily's lovely dress, of course!
On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Ashley wears a gold sequin tank dress. As she attends the launch of Jabot Cosmetics, she certainly resembles a golden goddess. Ashley must be glowing from her newlywed status. She better bask in that glory for as long as she can because something tells me things will not appear so sunny once Abby finds out about the nuptials.
*Update 7/23/11: Found the dress she appears to be wearing. Unfortunately, it is no longer available online.
On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Phyllis wears a reversible silk vest. Yes, she really is wearing a two-toned piece while revealing her two-faced nature. Sure, she plays up the concerned overprotective grandmother but let's not forget the fact that she stabbed Lauren in the back by luring Daisy into town and then siding with her in court. The vest may have two sides but does the mirror have two faces? One thing is certain: Phyllis will look great either way.
Many thanks to blog reader Raveesh1 for finding this!!!
On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Diane is wearing layered teardrop earrings. As Genoa City residents lose respect for her when they realize she was meeting Tucker for a late night rendezvous, most realize Diane is as grandiose as her oversized earrings.
